Mahinda loyalists celebrate the 65th anniversary of SLFP separately today

The 65th anniversary of the SLFP

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party under the leadership of SWRD Bandaranaike was formed on a day like this on the 02nd of September1951.
The 65th anniversary of the SLFP is to be celebrated on the 04th of September the day after tomorrow at the on a grand scale under the the President of the SLFP Maithripala Sirisena at the Maligapitiya grounds in Kurunegala.
However some loyalists  of the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who had opted not to attend the 65th anniversary celebrations had got together at the office of the former President at Nelum Mawatha Battaramulla to celebrate the event. Those who had participated had been Members of Parliament Bandula Gunawardena,Dallus Alahapperuma,Prasanna Ranatunga, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and others.
